In the area of the farm "Klausnerhof", the existing stabble building is planned to be extended and modernized. The area where the future building is to be located is part of the yellow and partly in the red avalanche hazard zone of the Inner Lehnertal avalanche, from which large avalanches were last known to have occurred in 1975. The successful implementation of the planned measures requires the construction of avalanche protection measures such as an avalanche deflection dam. The subject of the contract was the development of a submission procedure, whereby the design of the dam was based on the hazard zone plan, avalanche simulations (RAMMS and Ava Frame) as well as site inspections and local knowledge, taking into account the event history. Due to the close proximity of a third-party parcel of land and the requirement for the dam to be partially grazable, a mixed construction method using artificial construction and backfill was developed.
