Birgsauer Street protection gallery
The new avalanche gallery “South” of Birgsauer Street is to be protected against the natural hazard processes of avalanches, mudslides/floods and rockfall. For this purpose, two longitudinal dams were planned, with an intervening cut channel to ensure damage-free runoff in the event of floods and mudslides. An accompanying clearing path was also planned.
